I relish the truly spectacularly complicated programs that large companies take on in an effort to transform their business. It is the challenge to simplify the complicated to help large numbers of people adapt in the least painful way. My measures of success are leaving a client better than I found them, with a team capable of doing the work without my help.
What if we tried....? Patient and consumer experience design requires deep empathy and an openness to trying things out.....and changing quickly when the CEO wants that new product in the market NOW. The greatest lesson I have learned in experience design is the importance of progress, not perfection. Learn what works and then make it better.
There is an art and science to branding and naming. I have learned that budgets don't have to be big, but the core value for the purchaser has to be clear to everyone involved. Then the right name and design embodiment can emerge....along with a clear path to build the product through aligned understanding.
